Life=Game

For this reading, I decided to analyze the Life=Game section. This was a very interesting section to read because a lot of it was true. Both games involve entering a virtual world where you can basically live your fantasy life in a "realistic" sort of way. I think it's very interesting that people these days invest more time into their virtual lives than they do their real ones. This section also got me thinking about if I have ever done this, and if so, why. I have actually played Sims before (never on a serious level), but never really understood the thrill of the game. I think the fact that so many people enjoy games like this, is because it basically makes life easy. It makes things that we cant normally obtain in real life, easy to obtain. You can also interact with other people online, which give these types of games an even more realistic feel. I personally don't find these games very appealing, but I do see them rising in popularity, and question if this is the direction that the gaming industry is heading in.
